The objective of the “Digitalisation of Price Calculation” project was to develop an application using Power BI, the business analytics tool, together with K4 Analytics’ EPM solution, in order to generate hypothetical operational scenarios on a weekly basis and modify key business indicators.
K4 Analytics is an EPM solution designed to maximise the value of a market-leading business analytics tool such as Power BI. It integrates seamlessly with BI reports and enables OnTurtle to continue using its existing environment and reports.

Using different simulation scenarios, the application generates calculations based on the targets set for the business indicators and captures the changes made to the required variables so they can subsequently be transferred to the production environments. In addition, a series of reports was developed to support the entire process. These included context reports, containing data from recent weeks, which provide a starting point when creating scenarios and help focus attention on the highest-impact elements; as well as monitoring reports, which compare the simulations against actual data once it becomes available.
The application enables users to create different versions for a given week and to modify, validate or reject these versions according to their criteria. The solution process is outlined below:

Alongside the development work, the team audited the various maintenance activities and operations in order to detect inconsistencies in the information. These audits were delivered together with each iteration of the solution for analysis by OnTurtle’s IT team.
In this context, selecting the right technology solution is not the only essential factor; it is equally important to have a technology partner that brings experience, expertise and a high level of commitment. Holistic met the key criteria considered in this decision: a strong track record in the financial field, extensive technology expertise, professionalism, trust and commitment.
Furthermore, during the implementation stage, OnTurtle and Holistic worked together in an integrated manner, operating as a single team, and the alignment between both organisations proved decisive. On the one hand, Holistic’s experience in projects of this nature played a fundamental role in change management, as well as in providing support, defining processes and offering guidance at key moments. On the other hand, the motivation and commitment of OnTurtle’s Key Users were essential in making this transformation a reality.
